First Stop: Paris, France
Enjoy the cultural experiences of Paris, France, the “City of Lights,” for two and a half days. This pre-ski stop will allow everyone to acclimate to the weather and time zone before the ski trip starts.
Club members will fly overnight from Cleveland (CLE) to Paris (CDG), on Delta Airlines with one domestic layover enroute. The flight leaves Cleveland around 6 PM and arrives in Paris around 10:30 AM. Lodging will be at the Hotel Plaza Etoile, and private transfers will be provided from the airport to the hotel. The hotel is located two blocks from the Arc de Triomphe and in the heart of Paris.
Your ski equipment and luggage will be stored and transported to the ski area, so pack a carry-on bag for the three nights in Paris.
The hotel is a short walk of 1.5 blocks from a Metro stop that is an intersection of three separate Paris transit lines, allowing for transfers throughout the city and to farther out destinations such as Versailles or Paris Disneyland.
Museum passes are available for purchase (not included) and are approximately $108 for a 2-day pass. These passes will allow trip participants to access all 80 museums in the City of Paris and cut the regular lines with dedicated entrance times.
After enjoying the cultural elements of Paris, we will use the high-speed train from Paris Gare du Nord to get to the Geneva train depot, adjacent to the airport. A 50-person motorcoach will transport us and our luggage from the Geneva airport/train station to the Portes Du Soleil ski area and our hotel in Les Gets.
