  • Cost of trip is under $1,000 (plus train and lift tickets if needed)

Included in the trip:

  • Lodging for four nights at The Grand Summit Resort at Mount Snow
  • Private group motor coach from Albany train station to Mount Snow resort
  • Roundtrip baggage handling

Guests will get their own train ticket, and lift tickets. See details below.

About the Train

We leave from the downtown Cleveland Amtrak station. We get free parking in their secured lot. Each person gets 2 free checked bags and 2 carry-on bags. Boarding the eastbound train just before sunrise on Sunday, Feb 25th. There you’ll find large comfortable recliner-type seating with plenty of leg room, no middle seat, electric outlets, free Wi-Fi, and large curtained windows at each seat. There’s a dining cafe and there are NO restrictions to getting up and walking around. The train stops at various cities along the way to Albany. (Do not get off the train prior to the final destination.) The train is a great way to travel across the Empire State to Ski the East! Returning home, we’ll leave the resort around 4 pm on Thursday Feb 29. The train departs Albany station at 7 pm arriving in Cleveland at 4 am (Friday, March 1).

Amtrak Train Schedule

Sunday Feb 25, 2024

Amtrak Train ticket pricing –  Two free checked bags, (boot bag and ski bag is two bags) two free carry-on bags. Free parking at the train station, which is locked when the station is closed.

There are two train numbers (the 48 and the 448 East bound) Cleveland to Albany (and 49 and the 449 West bound)  Albany to Cleveland.  Either one works for us. The reason for the two numbers is once the train gets to Albany, the train will split and half goes on to Boston (448), the other half goes to NY. (48).

**NEW** CMSC Apparel

The Official Gear Shop of the Cleveland Metro Ski Council + Affiliate Clubs

Now available to Chagrin Valley Ski Club Members

This shop was created for one simple reason: to give our members an easy way to represent their Ski Clubs on the slopes, in the lodge, and around town.

  • Our “No-Profit” Commitment, We’re a Community, Not a Retailer: We’re not running this shop to make money for the Council. Our prices are among the lowest you’ll find for quality gear.
  • At-Cost Pricing: Everything is priced as close to production cost as possible. Any tiny “buffer” goes strictly toward administrative fees to keep club finances simple and transparent.
  • No Hidden Fees: Our platform handles all the tax and processing details automatically, keeping our focus exactly where it belongs: on the sport we love.

When you order through this store, your items are custom-printed and shipped directly to your door. This “on-demand” model means we don’t have to deal with boxes of unsold inventory, and you get exactly the size and style you want.
