Mar 13-20, 2021: Whitefish, Montana
This was a fabulous week long ski/board trip to a beautiful low key (read ditch the crowds) ski resort in Northern Montana. We stayed at the beautiful Lodge at Whitefish Lake, which caters to ski groups.

The pandemic was slowing down and an epic snowstorm was brewing in the West, as club members were preparing to embark on another ski adventure. It was the first trip for most in a year of craziness. Dave Rock and Sports America did a great job at rebooking everyone to miss the storm and get us all there. Some earlier and some later, but we all made it, arriving to beautiful sunshine and warm temps in one of the friendliest towns in the U.S.
We had heard about fog on the front side of the mountain, but there was none to be found. The back (north side) had a multitude of great runs after you got past the ant hill. The afternoons got a bit mushy and heavy on the front. There were a variety of runs for every kind of skier. Yes, we could have used some fresh snow, but you could not beat the amount of sunshine. Ahhh, so good for the soul! After a year of social distancing it was so good to be back on the skis and sharing fun times with old friends and making new ones.
I think one of the highlights for those that signed up, was the tour through the west side of Glacier National Park. Another pristine day shared with friends.
The last day saw fog and rain roll in. Not many folks braved the weather on the mountain. But, the outdoor hot tub was a hit. Also town was a short shuttle ride away and there were many great eateries.
We had excellent lodge accommodations and service, great shuttle service, beautiful weather, a friendly town, great friends and fantastic trip leadership. Thanks to everyone for making this one of the best trips ever. We appreciate all this club does for its members.
Hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did.
